Four months on a bicycle between Cairo, Egypt and Cape Town South Africa is not your typical African safari.
En route with the Tour d’ Afrique, the world’s longest bicycle race and expedition, the Zenga Bros. (CAN) and Brian Vernor (USA) make light of this physically daunting trip by sharing a universal love of the bicycle with Africa’s roadside mechanics, sporting racers, and innumerable curious strangers. Traveling more than 70 miles per day, 50 racers and expedition riders experienced the boundless Nubian desert of Sudan, the great majesty of Victoria Falls, and finally the cold rush of the Atlantic Ocean. Where Are You Go captures the 7,000 mile expedition as a constant adventure full of playfulness and mysterious beauty, and is a testament to the endurance of human curiosity.

This is going to be season’s last Tour d’ÖÖ niteride event!
So, don’t miss out!
We start again on Liberty square (Vabaduse väljak), this time at 19:00 and the ride takes us through new territories and exciting routes in the north of Tallinn. We will finish in old town at the Sõprus film theater at about 20:30. There we can exchange some impressions about our cycling season and at 21:00 we’ll be screening a cross-section program of seasons best bike movies. And as last time, the screening is free for everyone at the niteride!
Bicycle valet parking will be set up in front of Sõprus film theater. Still, bring your own proper locks!

New Yorgi Bicycle Film Festivalil oli lisaks teistele ratta-subkultuuridele tugevalt esindatud BMX. Lisaks Street Jamile ning filmiseanssidele (kus esilinastus tugeva toetuse saatel ka Eesti “Simpel Dream”) toimus NYC tänavatel BMX street race, kus kutid rammisid autosid, manualisid üle taksode ning tegid mida iganes, et finishisse jõuda. Wild times!
Suur tänu Brendtile, Jenile, Brianile, Joshuale, Brendanile, Darrylile ja teistele suurepärase festivali eest!
Aastate jooksul on Simpel Sessionist tehtud palju häid videosid, aga see Harrison Boyce’i ja Andrew McMulleni poolt valminud portreelugu Josh Harringtonist on täiesti omaette tase ning meistriteos.
Film linastub ka aasta jooksul järgnevates Bicycle Film Festivali linnades üle maailma.

In this short film documenting Oakley’s Josh Harrington’s trip to the seemingly cold and desolate Northern European state of Estonia for the Simpel Session contest, we experience in his own words the solidarity of self-awareness of traveling to a foreign country, unable to adjust to your surroundings while still having to focus on putting himself in the mindset of riding in front of thousands of people on a BMX bike.

Sellega lõppeski viis päeva vältanud esimene Tallinn Bicycle Week.
Simpel Dream on lühifilm, mille tegid Roman Neimann ja Andzei Matsukevits.
Tartu noore trikiratturi Kristjan Aasmäe unistus saab tõeks – ta pääseb võistlema Simpel Sessionile. Film toob läbi unistuse täitumise loo välja kontrastid Eestis toimuva maailma ühe BMXi tippvõistluse ning kohaliku BMX-maastiku vahel.
Film on valitud 2011 aasta Bicycle Film Festivali programmi, mis saab avalöögi 22-26. juunil New Yorgis. Festival toimub tänavu 26 suurlinnas üle maailma. 2010. aasta BFF-i külastas üle 300.000 rattafilmihuvilise.
Enne seda aga esilinastub film Bicycle Film Festival Tallinna programmis – neljapäeval 2. juunil kell 19:00 kinos Artis (Estonia pst. 9 Solaris keskus). Film linastub BFF-i lühifilmide programmis.
